Siemens Burner Controllers LGA
Siemens Burner Controllers LGA Series are gas burner control units designed for the startup and flame supervision of small to medium-capacity gas burners operating intermittently. They provide ignition sequence control, ionization flame monitoring, gas valve control, and safety lockout protection. Selected models support auxiliary fan and air pressure switch connections, making the series suitable for maintaining and replacing compatible burner controls in existing gas-fired heating systems.

Siemens Burner Controllers LGA
Siemens Burner Controllers LGA Series
Siemens Burner Controllers LGA Series are gas burner control units designed for the startup and flame supervision of small to medium-capacity atmospheric gas burners operating in intermittent mode.
The controllers manage the burner ignition sequence, gas valve operation, and flame supervision using an ionization probe. They help ensure that the combustion system follows the required safety sequence during startup and operation.
Key Features
- Automatic startup and ignition sequence control for gas burners
- Flame supervision using an ionization probe
- Two gas valve control outputs (BV1 and BV2)
- Safety lockout protection in the event of ignition failure or abnormal flame signals
- Auxiliary fan and air pressure switch connections on LGA52 and LGA63 models
- Integrated lockout warning lamp and manual reset button
- Plug-in design for convenient installation and replacement
- Can replace selected LFI7 and LFI5 predecessor models using suitable adapters, subject to compatibility verification
Operating Principle
When a startup command is received, the LGA burner control initiates the ignition sequence according to the selected model.
The controller operates the ignition transformer and gas valves while supervising flame establishment through the ionization probe.
When a valid flame signal is detected, the controller permits the burner to proceed to its operating stage.
If a flame is not established within the specified ignition safety time, the controller initiates safety lockout to prevent continued fuel release.
Available Series
- LGA41 Series: Designed for gas burner control without auxiliary fan connections.
- LGA52 Series: Supports auxiliary fan and air pressure switch connections.
- LGA63 Series: Supports auxiliary fan operation, air pressure monitoring, and undervoltage detection.
Typical Applications
- Small and medium-capacity gas burners
- Gas-fired industrial heating equipment
- Intermittently operated gas combustion systems
- Maintenance of existing burner control systems
- Replacement of compatible legacy gas burner controllers
